1st Human Trials of Ebola Vaccine to Start

The U.S. government and drug maker GlaxoSmithKline will announce Thursday that they are starting the first human trials of an Ebola vaccine, NBC News reported. Testing for the vaccine has been fast-tracked because of the Ebola outbreak that is ravaging West Africa. More than 1,400 people have died in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. The National Institute of Health, which is sponsoring the first trial of the vaccine, will release more details about the project on Thursday, a spokesman told NBC News.
